stop accusing my sister of being a hypocrite
do you actually honestly think the choice to shatter Pink Diamond came easily to her? Do you think it was something she did on a whim? Do you honestly mean to tell me you think that she would be so hypocritical as to fight one of her closest friends and allies, pop her and bubble her, then go off and shatter a diamond? HER diamond? Like it was nothing?
I know you’re all just having fun and having a laugh over this but have a little god damn compassion. Even if she did break out of the mold and start a rebellion I can assure you there would have been reluctance to shatter anyone, ESPECIALLY her Diamond. The amount of grief and remorse she would have felt after that is incomprehensible to you.
So just stop. I know you’ve all discovered, like Steven, that Rose was not perfect. I know that shattered your image of who she was and I think that was the point of the way they wrote this show. Even the best, those who care for others more than themselves, those who desperately want to help those around them and love them, even they make mistakes sometimes. Big mistakes. Mistakes that hurt their loved ones and families.
But her heart was always with her people.
And she suffered for that love
