I’m not sure if this just didn’t get through or what. (If it did feel free to ignore it) Are you aware of the otherkin comun on here? There are also a lot of fictionkin as well. That being said, how do you feel about the fiction kin who believe they were/are the Doctor? Although the definition for being kin is loose; to some it’s a coping method. To others it’s a reincarnation thing. And then to others I’m not even sure. But I’ve heard at least three different definitions for it. Thoughts?

I’ve gotten like six messages in this topic and I like this one the most.
I think the Tumblr idea of kin is the most illogical thing. Fictionkin? I feel as if they are relating to fiction at a deep level and aren’t truly that character or whatever it is they are kin with. Fictionkin with the Doctor? Again, deeply relating to the character. The show has nothing to do with us anymore, though. When it was first made, it was loosely based on us. Now? It’s a drama show.
Kin, in the context I know it of (even back to home) is more meta-science. Reincarnations, souls, that stuff. It was never a thing for me but I have friends who are kin in that context.
I don’t know. I don’t put much thought into this because I don’t care much.
Hey there. 🙂 Just so you know the concept and community of fictionkin significantly predates tumblr and does in many cases have to do with reincarnation/spirituality.
