( No Title )
okay so I don’t understand why factkin are so hated…
Listen, I understand why BEING someone who is still alive and being them in THIS UNIVERSE is problematic, but how is ppl like Hamilton kin, “real life” dead people but just another universe is a-okay?
So basically I was questioning being kin w/ a real life person for a while, but “being him” in the sense that I had memories of Eren living a life very similar to his.
I don’t think Eren lived in that alternative timeline anymore but like, I felt SO BAD for even questioning being “factkin” w/ that person?
Long story short I just can’t understand how hamiltonkin are 100% not problematic but how a lot of other factkin are 100% PROBLEMATIC.
Can someone explain this??
A human reincarnating to another human life isn’t “kin”, it’s just reincarnation. The only exception is when that human is fictional, i.e fictionkin.
Otherkin and therians are nonhuman things, exclusively, no exceptions. You can’t be “humankin”, which is all this factkin crap boils down to. If your source is completely fictional, then fictionkin is the group you’re looking for.
“factkin” are literally people who believe they’re, say, Markiplier irl, or whatever other youtube gamer or celebrity they’re obsessed with. You do not want to be associated with that shit just because you remember a human past life. Reincarnation is not a kin-only phenomenon.
Hmm that is true
So Hamiltonkin are mainly just reincarnated versions of the founding fathers from alternate universes? But idk they are still “kin” or at least in the kin community, is that cuz they follow the play versions of the founding fathers more so they’re closer to the “fictional” versions of the people?
Yes, I do understand otherkin and therians are all nonhuman, that makes sense to me.
But idk how are human fickin KIN then?? Ik I’m not an anime character, I’ve just lived past lives as Eren Yeager which correlates w/ the SnK manga in this universe, but I’m not an anime character.
Or does that mean I’m not kin??
Or AM I kin for the sole reason that SnK is an anime in this life of mine.
I do understand ppl that say they’re like pewdiepie are very problematic, but are they the only factkin?? Like I agree tho you don’t want to be put in a group w/ those ppl tho
But like okay what happens if u believe you are another version of a person who is still alive, like from an alternate universe. How problematic is that?? when ur not claiming to BE the person or anything idk if I’m making sense
Kin stuff and reincarnation stuff confuses the fuck outta me, sorry, I’m not trying to be rude or argumentative or anything lol
If the timeline that someone remembers is fictional, as in not irl happenings here recorded as historical fact, but something that’s written down and accepted as fantasy, then they’d be fictionkin.
Fictionkin can be human or not, regardless of the source. It overlaps with the alterhuman and nonhuman (otherkin, therian) communities. Alterhuman as a word describes fictional humans, like Eren Yeager. Human, but other.
What makes someone kin, human or not, is when their past life or psychological identification is so powerful that you continue to feel it now. There’s no separation, it’s just you. Some people don’t feel that, and don’t call em kintypes because they’re so removed from it, even if they remember things too.
It’s… pretty problematic, to say the least. On the books it’s identity theft, and it could really scare the person if they happened to look themselves up and find someone claiming to be them, or some version of them. It’s one of those things that are better off being kept very, very private. Put yourself in their shoes and imagine a stranger on tumblr approaching you to say that they’re “you”, and have memories of your life and know all of your private feelings? Freaky shit. And very open to being abused.
It’s okay, it’s pretty convoluted until it clicks.
Alterhuman – human fictionkin, or humans from other worlds not depicted in media
Nonhuman – nonhuman fictionkin, otherkin, therians
Some people put all of these under “alterhuman” to be inclusive, some don’t. Matter of preference!
Just popping in to say that alterhuman was actually specifically created to be an umbrella term for otherkin, therians, fictionkin, otherhearted people, systems, etc. It’s meant to cover all of us and include people who dont really fit in any of those categories but still have an “other” identity. It was a word we’ve needed for a while because people were starting to try and shove all of this into otherkin as an umbrella when that just doesn’t work. So it’s not just human fictionkin.
