What is the band Otherkin. Why do they keep showing up in the Otherkin tags?? Do they know Otherkin is also the name of a subculture?? Is this a group of Otherkin individuals who came together to form a band or do they not know that their name is shared by us?? I keep seeing them everywhere and I just need to Know
i talked to the frontman of otherkin once through the official tumblr and he said they chose it because their drummer was salamanderkin (you know like, the elemental six-legged mythical ones)
they’ve said in more recent interviews that they really regret the name because of the association, though.. i can’t pretend i don’t find that amusing 😛 the band themselves have stopped tagging their posts as such because of that, it seems, but obviously fans who aren’t clued in aren’t gonna know not to.
Well, dang lmao. I was curious about this too, actually.
