@fromfiction ah! i just saw you (tried to) tag me in that identity post of yours – thanks for thinking of me! i read most of the responses and i agree with bloodswapkankri, that the difference between spiritual vs psychological sense of kinself could be very worth exploring (esply since you mentioned the lack of reincarnation vibe, yet “just feels right”)
i also resonated with the way you described a disorienting, uncommon, and hard to understand from the other side, experience. plus the whole “why did i spend money on x things i need so many Y things.” every once in awhile i get really femme and want wigs and lolita fashion and coordinated outfits. it’s unpredictable and weird, and while it‘s not around i doubt myself (as to how ‘real’ it was, and whether femme fits my identity at all, etc)
for me it’s less of a…well, i think it’s less of a gender shift, more of a presentation shift. tricky, as it does feel tied to some other things. in some ways it’s like i’m less dysphoric about being mistaken for/called girl, and maybe i feel more adjacent to girl, but no less non-binary? gender is so tricksy.
yeah! i hope some of this is helpful / less-alone-feel-inducing.
Tagging people is so weird on tumbr, I never know if its going to work of not! Thanks for getting back to me.
I’m definitely exploring the whole psychological side of kinself right now to see if it fits ^^
And its great to know someone has the same ‘need so many of Y’ feeling as me. Funny that its sort of over the same thing. And yeah, gender is really tricky!
Thank you again for getting back to me :3 hopefully I’l have more to say soon,
