@ otherkin friends who have the spoons?
So I’m writing this article and it involves the concept of dehumanization and noticing when partners are dehumanizing you and tokenizing you.
I’m wondering if there are ways to describe dehumanization that are inclusive and sensitive to the existence of otherkin folks, especially those who go through this kind of thing.
Like so far I am kind of talking using wording like “whole, complete being, worthy of respect and celebration as a whole” kind of thing?
(I’m formatting like, “here’s the bad example” “here’s what a healthy dynamic in contrast to this looks like”)
I think your best bet would be to replace the concept of ‘humanity’ with ‘personhood’ in this case. as in ‘removing one’s personhood’ instead of ‘dehumanizing’.
