What is it about the early winter months that breeds wank like rabbits?
I’ve been surrounded by it for over a week, and I guess it was foolish to think that I would not get drawn in.
The Multiple community is all in a tizzy because of…. Well I can’t figure out exactly why. As far as I can tell it started out with someone trying to be helpful, getting bitched out about the way they were going about it, and then spiraling out of control into a fight of “more multiple than thou” which ended in a fight about civil discourse. Wow. I stayed out of that one, because frankly I don’t care. Making pamphlets about being a multiple? Fine. Have Draconic headmates? Sure whatever. I don’t see why there needs to be a big argument. We’re all crazy losers anyway.
And then trouble walks into my office. Trouble in this case not being a leggy blond in four inch heels. Trouble in this case being a spat between a couple of my friends. Well, I say a spat, really more of a flare up of something that’s been going on for a while. It all really boils down to someone I know with a very insecure identity stumbling around someone else with a much more secure identity who isn’t really into self-censorship. And now my insecure friend hates me because I “talked behind their back” to the secure friend. Nevermind that I didn’t say anything I’m ashamed for insecure friend to have heard, they’re all “breach of trust this” and “BAW” that. And that’s fine, because, if there’s something I’ve learned in all these years is that that person is not happy unless they have something to bitch and whine and baw about.
So fine, let them bitch and whine and baw about me. I don’t care. I’ve done nothing I’m ashamed of, and nothing that I said I wouldn’t do. So. If they want to make me their scapegoat for all the little twisted up feelings they have inside, that’s their problem, not mine. And if they want to out themselves by BAWing in the comments on this post, that’s fine, too.
Oh, and now I find out one of the main mods of an art snark community I belong to hates me for some reason, and won’t say why. But the comment I got from them was “ oh fuck you’re here”.
Well then.
