Legal Limit?

“Legal limit” makes its first appearance in this August 1998 issue Wolverine #127.

(As an aside, Sabretooth and Kitty end up working together for a little bit as seen below)

But before all that, regarding the subject of limits, X-Men Unlimited #3 (December 1993, the beginning of the basement arc) gives us some more perspective on the idea.

Of course, this is contradicted later in 2013’s Deadpool #59–

BUT, it IS a Deadpool book and humor in bad taste is the name of the game. And the girl is still alive while there are piles of corpses around, so its possible Sabretooth was just cracking a joke. Or maybe it was completely serious. 🍨
