Editor’s note: The Box Boy universe popped into existence late in 2019 and quickly gained steam in the whump side of Tumblr. While I fully admit that most of the BBU tropes are, in fact, my squicks, I’m fascinated by the phenomenon of a whole original universe, created independently by fans.
Before the release of X-Men in 2000 Marvel made the Mutant Watch website, a fake anti-mutant campaign page for Senator Kelly. It’s pretty basic by today’s standards, but still interesting to look at.
