Is the king’s power transferable through possesion of his sceptre? Would it be possible for the black queen to take said sceptre and gain kingly might?
The King’s power is absolutely transferable through possession of his scepter. Any carapace holding it would be able to wield it, and yes that does include the Black Queen. Obviously, prototypings would not double, but the Queen would receive the ‘size bonus’ for using either scepter and grow immense. Additionally, if it were the White scepter she would be able to trigger the reckoning, or with the Black scepter, end the reckoning.
Of note is the fact that the Black scepter is the only one of the royal artifacts that seems to have any use to someone who is not a carapace. It appears that any one of any species may utilize this scepter to bring an end to the reckoning.
