Calling him an extremist is accurate. Calling him an “atheist extremist” is misguided but not completely absurd. BUT calling him a “religious extremist” does not make any sense because atheism is not a religion.
I never called him a religious extremist, or an atheist extremist. I said he killed people in order to promote atheism, which he did.

However, I could have as easily said that atheist extremeists are as bad as political extremists, and my point would remain the same.
