I’ve been questioning a kintype for a while and the only reason I’m still questioning it is because I have no clear memories from that kin so I need to know how I figure out if I am in fact kin with it or if it’s just curiosity mixed with hopeful thinking.
I have no memories and I know I am kin, and I know I’m not the only one. For me, I have both a otherkin identity and an otherhearted identity so figuring out the feeling between the two.
I’m honestly not sure how to help.
For me it just required time and a lot of me going ‘Am I this, or do I just feel really close to it?’
But just know that memories are not a requirement to being otherkin!

The only thing you’re “kin with” is other humans since “kin with” implies a physical relationship. The wording you’re looking for is “I have to figure out if it’s a kintype” or “I have to figure out if I’m really otherkin”. People really need to stop saying “kin with” when that’s not at all what they mean to say. The English language is crying, guys.
People saying ‘kin with’ drives me nuts. I’ve tried to shift it to ‘kin of’ but even that is a bit clumsy.
