How can we make otherkin/fictionkin unappealing enough to drive off all of the uwu sjw tweens?
See the issue is that real fictionkin/otherkin aren’t actually interesting. Anyone who deals with what we do knows it’s not done glamorous thing. It’s actually pretty minute and insignificant. The only reason we have a community in the first place is to find others with similar experiences and to also teach those who are new and still awakening.
Tumblr’s shiny special version of us is the result of heavy misinformation and purposeful ignorance brought together in a community that likes to tell people “you’re perfect no matter what and if you say something it’s 100% true don’t listen to anyone or anything”.
The damage is pretty much done, to get back to answering the question. Best we can do is stand our ground and just suffer through it until the long-running fad that it is eventually dies. If you want a community place for otherkin ideals (the kind that actually tries to weed out the bullshit) you should look into an otherkin forum. My personal recommendation is otherkincommunity.net
