stereokaiser:

I’ll never get that otherkin/therian trend. Especially when people feel that their soul is connected to mythical creatures such as dragons, unicorns or even angels and demons… It’s pretty much always the same animals which either cute like cats&dogs even ferrets/squirrels or cool like wolves or bears. I never encountered a wormkin. Must be nice to live in a permanent lie. I find it hard to fathom.

Note: who am I to judge them? I just personally believe that “being” otherkin is just a way for some people who may or may not (but I’ve seen that a lot) be socially akward to bond with other people more easily via a common interest. And it’s great for them. I don’t believe it’s mentally healthy though. Some people take that thing so seriously… I feel that it discredits people who have to cope with real gender/orientation/personnality struggles by being put in the same bag sometimes.

I just felt the need to express my opinion, if anyone is offended, I won’t apologize but I respect your lifestyle.

I’m not the kind of person to go on a rant just to spit on what people want to do with their lives, mainly because I don’t care. But sometimes, when I think about stuff, I talk about stuff, and I like to hear different opinions about the stuff I think about.

Hey, you seem like a cool person. Thank you for having respect for other people’s non-harmful beliefs and habits.

The only thing I wanted to say, is that a lot of the people who take being kin/non-human very seriously also have gender issues, or sexuality issues, or other personality issues to struggle with.

I’m kin, quite vocally. I run fictionkin.net. I’m also a transgender/genderqueer man, soon to be married to a transwoman, and I’ve been basically disowned from my family for it.
