I’m reblogging this because I mean… Shit yall. It should not be big fucking news to state something like this.
When it comes to you creating fire with your mind or moving shit without touching it, everything listed above… Yeah, no, unless I see you do it or see scientists confirm that, omg yes this thing has been done by this person, I’m not gonna believe you.
I’m sorry, I’m just not. And it’s nothing against you personally at all. And it’s not to say that I don’t believe there is a POSSIBILITY that it could be done… But under no circumstances am I just going to take someone’s word at face value.
It’s the same thing as when people show up in the community claiming they are a goddess or god incarnate. Is anyone here gonna take that person’s word at face value? I would hope not. You’d want proof. Well, “proof” in witchcraft is not easy to come by. For most workings, there’s no way to PROVE anything to anyone else because it’s all largely based on personal experience.
With things like shooting fireballs and telekinesis like… That CAN be proved or disproved because it is a PHYSICAL CAN BE SEEN BY THE HUMAN EYE thing. So unless you can SHOW people or show some scientists what you can do, no one needs to believe you, whether they’re a witch or not. And as it stands now, since no one has come forward to be tested by some professionals, we know as a rule that those things can’t be done.
And I sure as hell find it strange that anyone would take such personal offense to that.
