im gonna sound stupid if i ask this but whats kin? i heard about it from tumblr vaguely from other artists?
eeegdfhfghgfdg-deactivated20180:
kin is like, a character you really relate to, or SEE YOURSELF as.
like, imagine having a favorite character. you LOVE that character. but for kin, it’s a lot more than that. that character is LITERALLY YOU. yourself. if you were a character in something, you’d be that character. it’s you! that’s them! you don’t need to imagine it, because you’re already them. it’s like the world wrote about you and put it on paper!
and then there’s other types of kin, where you just relate to a certain character really REALLY strongly. but you’re not quite exactly them. you’re like, a different them. but you still relate. you’re almost like the same person.
sometimes you want to be called by the characters name! sometimes you don’t.
and there are tons of kin types….. like……
some people identify as their fursona’s! they have a name and an appearance, that’s them! that’s who they are.
other people identify as fictional characters. maybe somebody happens to identify with Roxy? that’s who they are! they’re Roxy.
i’m not very good at explaining, that’s kind of my own personal understanding and feelings regarding it. not everybody sees it this way!! a few google searches might even explain it better than me haha
I’m sorry, no offense but this is really wrong and I can’t handle it.
Otherkin: believe they are spiritually or mentally nonhuman.
Fictionkin: believe they are spiritually or mentally a character or race from a fictional source.
What are fictionkin?
Fictionkin; (noun): A person who discovers that they have in some way inherited the soul/spirit/complete mentality of a fictional character, and the identity of that character is in some way mixed with their current human/earthly identity.
But how do you know?
Fictionkin have experiences and feelings that set them apart from the rest of the world, often even at a very young age. We experience homesickness, strange memories, physical dysphoria, phantom limbs, and many other things that set us apart from other humans.
What’s it like?
Being fictionkin is a lot like having been five. The personality you had when you were five influences who you are now. You still have some of the same hopes and dreams you have when you were five. You have your five year old self’s memories. Your five year old self is forever a part of you- maybe even a part of you that still comes forward sometimes. But its not everything you are.
How can that be possible?
Under multiverse theory it is impossible, literally impossible to think of an occurrence that has not, will not, and is not happening. The multiverse is simply too big. Everything has existed, exists, and always will exist.
