I like drawing or writing about what supposed otherkin describe themselves as because they have good imaginations, but they just need to put it to good use and not get stuck in their fantasy world.

Well, I mean, my personal religious beliefs which classify me as ‘kin aren’t exactly a “fantasy” or “fantasy world” to me? Otherkin isn’t inherently escapism, you know.

….I’m really creeped out by OP, not gonna lie. Like as a writer I feel genuinely uncomfortable with this.

That’s kind of where I’m coming from too, especially given that there’s already plenty of authors out there who share this sentiment and write about things they think are just “fantasy” that others take very much seriously (with some individuals even mocking the things in the process or after completion!) It’s just something that doesn’t really sit right with me.

Not only is this creepy and weird, but it also presumes that there are no kin who are writers and artists?

As a writer and artist (trying to make it my career), this offends the hell out of me.
