unpopular opinion:

copingkin/link =/= otherkin and the two should be in different tags with no overlap unless the c’linker is also otherkin (UNRELATED to their copinglink status)

this isn’t ableism, this is being tired of seeing c’linkers in the kin tags because!! guess what!! they’re not kin!! otherkin can’t! choose! their! kintype!

Ehh. While I agree with you on c’linkers having their own tag because we have separate things to discuss, there *is* overlap between c’link and otherkin experiences and I feel like there’s a tone of animosity in this post that makes me uncomfortable. I can understand the frustration, trust me, I’m both a therian/fictionkin and a c’linker and want people to recognize the differences and talk about them, but we’re really not gonna get people to take up the c’linker label if we keep trying so viciously to shove c’linkers away. I wish we could have an alterhuman tag so it would be easier to have a shared community space with individual experiences going into separate tags, but that’s not gonna happen if we’re all just yelling at each other.

While copinglinkers and otherkin are definitely separate, we both share space in the larger non-human/ #alterhuman community.

I’m going to be making an effort to tag more things on fromfiction as alterhuman.
