Is anyone actually offended by people using the word “phantom limbs”? I know a few amputees and none of them seem to mind otherkin using it.
I have, as of yet, never seen an amputee complain about the use of the term “phantom limbs”, never the less I try to make sure that we’re talking supernumerary phantom limbs, to be specific, whenever I talk about the topic of otherkin phantom limb sensations.
Seems some people who aren’t amputees are determined to take offense on behalf of amputees even for the use of the more accurate and specific term of supernumerary phantom limbs, a term that actually doesn’t apply to amputees.
