I need people to understand the scope and importance of kin identity.
The bottom line for me is this:
Before I found out my fictionkin identity, I didn’t love myself.
In fact, I hated myself.
But I love myself now. I’ve loved myself so much ever since I found out this incredible truth about who I am.
Being kin is so important to so many people. It helps people come to terms with who they are and love themselves.
Please respect otherkin and fictionkin. You don’t have to understand our identities. Heck, nobody else besides us can truly understand our identities. Our singular selves are for us to explore individually. Between us, we’re all different to an extent.
But we deserve respect.
