Some thoughts on sexuality and attraction. This is just my own conceptualization of attractive and sex drive. Feel free to use this model, comment, critique, reblog, whatever.
Curious, shouldn’t hyper-sexuality be omitted because the others are sexual orientations? Hyper-sexuality is about desire no? The others are about the objects of desire.
The thing is, if we parse asexuality as being about orientation of desire (specifically lacking any objects of desire) rather than level of desire, then gray-asexuality is erased, and any other ‘level’ of asexuality other than complete ace ceases to exist.
If its about target of desire than you can only be gynophilic (oriented towards men), androphilic (oriented towards women), bisexual/pansexual (oriented to either/any/nonbinary), or asexual (oriented toward none).
Basically if asexuality is an orientation, rather than a level of desire, gray-a isn’t a thing, one would just be a low libido gynophilic/androphilic/bisexual/pansexual.
