Friendly reminder that soulbonding exists, can be seen as a form of channeling, and is fun and emotionally supportive.
It actually doesn’t in the sense that the characters are their own personality and entity in headspace. If you mean in a more symbolic sense sure whatever there’s a reasonable percentage that they exist. But they’re not analogous to actual alters and should not be paraded as such.
Edit: I’m not going to put much stock in a post linked to a blog you own. Try something else because others feel the same way.
I never said they were anything like alters?? alters are not the only time of headmate.
Yes actually. There’s a thing called structural dissociation. Which is the only recognized way of having a system. Soulbonds included.
Okay but for a second consider this. I’m not talking about something “recognized” I’m talking about something magickal. Its completely outside the realm of science. Soulbonds literally have nothing to do with your categorization.
Magic is about intent. Are you saying you can will a headmate into existance?
Yes. I’m saying I can deliberately establish a bond with a person from another universe, which brings them into my headspace as a headmate.
Oh well I’m sorry.
That’s still not possible. You’ve constructed an elaborate imaginary friend. Which is fine but don’t call it a system. That’s intruding on actual systems communities.
I didn’t call it a system. You’re the one bringing that term to the table. I call my headmates a ‘collective’.
You are free to believe my headmates are ‘imaginary friends’ and I am free to believe they are real entities sharing my mind.
