Do people on tumblr dot com know that you can relate to a fictional character without necessarily BEING that character?
It’s perfectly reasonable that something you love would be an important part of who you are. But like, it honestly seems like none of you truly believe it. I’ve seen countless people remove something from their kinpage because someone told them it was problematic.
There’s literally nothing wrong with identifying with a fictional character, why go to the extra length of invalidating those of genuinely struggle with delusions

I don’t know how familiar you really are with otherkin, or if you’ve only seen them on tumblr. Tumblr is a terrible representation of the otherkin community, and is full of people who you’re right, don’t take it seriously and don’t seem to really believe it. Those people, who believe that you can just ‘remove’ a kintype arent really kin, but are misunderstanding what being kin is from tumblr misinformation.
Most kin outside of tumblr, and even the core of the community on tumblr are sincere in their beliefs. Some of them spiritually based, some of them mentally based. However, none of that has anything to do with suffering from delusions, and I’m sorry that fake kin have made you feel like kin are somehow invalidating your struggles.
