On the subject of the Otherkin thing, it really isn’t healthy. Using this adult version of playing pretend to lose touch with reality is very damaging and you need to find other ways to pass the time.
Also, if you refer to not having wings or powers as a disability, you’re a piece of shit.
I should point out that your “playing pretend” comment likely only applies to people who do not introspect, which is a majority of tumblr.
On the second comment: yeah no. It isn’t a disability and you’re right. The only disability that such a thing would be is supernumerary phantom limb syndrome, which is a RARE psychological condition at best.
Supernumary phantom limbs are not a “rare psychological condition.” You can literally trick your mind into perceiving them.
Unfortunately this article discusses phantom limbs, not supernumerary phantom limbs, which never existed to begin with. And of course in the cases described, it’s a mental trick: it is our body adjusting to new stimuli.
If you could point me to the specific quote regarding your claim, it would make both our jobs loads easier.
