I don’t know why, but for some reason I started thinking about what it’d be like if something happened that made otherkin and fictionkin physically become their kintypes (even though it would never happen :^<)
People would realise that they weren’t really kin or had different kintypes than they thought
People who didn’t think they were otherkin or fictionkin but actually were would be in for a surprise
People with multiple kintypes would become whatever kintype’s strongest at the moment, and if/when they mental/phantom/etc. shifted into another kintype they would physically shift into it as well
Having shifts for more than kintype at the same time would be interesting
Some people would be so happy to physically be their kintype
Others would think it sucks and would try to become shift back into a human
Polykin might be both of those depending on what kintype they are shifted into
Maybe copinglinkers would shift too, but differently. Like they’d have a ghost version of their linktype around them that could be physically felt but not solid (like how water is). Not sure how it would work if they have a linktype that lacks body parts they have (like a snake copinglinker). Maybe the body parts the linktype lacks would also be ghost-like
Maybe cameo shifts would be like that too
