I am so, so tired of people thinking they can tell other people their headmates and system members are ‘fake’. How much more abusive can you get than telling people they’re a lie for attention?

but also: the subtle things people do that say you’re fake even if they don’t say it in those words.
fictive experiences always come second to other people’s lived experiences = your experiences weren’t “lived”
trauma isn’t the same when it’s in system/other world = your memories aren’t real and if someone abuses you in system it’s literally all in your head
you should change some part of your “back story” or appearance if it’s offensive = people in systems can be molded like clay and this won’t hurt or cause distress or confusion with memories at all
but is the host lgbt? = only the real person’s identity counts. you can’t really have a separate sexuality/gender/anything else. you’re just some features pasted on over the host’s face so anything that’s less than politically perfect about you, just get rid of it
and that pisses me off more than the straight up “fake” tbh. at least if someone calls you fake you can point to them and say, hey that was a dick move. but sometimes even people in systems internalize this and do it to themselves or other people
