Seeing so many anti-endogenic folks who are also ace-exclusionists is a weird, disconcerting thing. I bet if they were visibly physically disabled they’d want to exclude us with invisible illnesses from disability spaces too. And they’d be the whole “you’re not REAL gamers”/”REAL geeks”/”REAL fans” sort of persons too.

Who cares. Respect people’s experiences. Stop trying to shove people out.

reactionary exclusionary gatekeeping. it’s everywhere.

What does “anti-endogenic” mean?

I think it’s in reference to systems (i.e. multiplicity/DID – multiple personalities in one body). Endogenic (as opposed to traumagenic) in that context is someone who’s developed DID without trauma (or possibly, due to having DID, doesn’t remember the trauma that caused it), so anti-endogenic would be people saying ‘if you don’t remember/didn’t experience trauma then you don’t really have DID!’, or words to that effect.

…I’m very much Not An Expert so if someone comes along and says what I’ve said is garbage, they’re probably right.

that’s sort of correct!

there are other types of multiplicity/having more than one person in your head than DID (OSDD for example, tulpamancy, soulbonding, or the experiences of people who don’t culturally have the framework of DID but instead describe it as possession or spirit work. google “healthy multiplicity” also). endogenic usually doesn’t refer to people claiming to have “DID without trauma” but rather a multiplicity experience that doesn’t relate to DID.

anti-endogenic people still think all multiplicity is DID though, so "if you don’t remember/didn’t experience trauma then you don’t really have DID!” is exactly what they say.
