New D&D magic spells, designed by neural network
I’ve trained this open-source neural network framework on a variety of datasets, including recipes, Pokemon, knock-knock jokes, and pick up lines.
Here’s the latest: a list of 365 different spells you can cast in Dungeons and Dragons.
It’s a really small dataset, actually – so small that in almost no time at all, it learned to reproduce the original input data verbatim, in order. But by setting the “temperature” flag to a really high value (i.e. it has a higher chance of NOT going with its best guess for the next character in the phrase), I can at least induce spelling mistakes. Then the neural network has to try to recover from these, with often entertaining results.
I give you: D&D magic spells, designed by neural network

Also, somebody get @probablybadrpgideas on the line. The idea?
You can play a magic-user, but you can only use spells from this list. What’s that? A likely terrible rpg idea? I’m there!
Invent your own spells
Just some ideas for the spells, not sure how to determine the level of the spells though.
Moss Healing Word (Cleric)-heals 2d4 so long as the caster is holding moss. Casting range is within hands reach.
Hold Mouse (Warlock)- any held object will transform into a mouse for 1d4 hours.
Barking Sphere (druid)- allows for any spherical object to intermittently release barks until the caster decides the spell is over. If no object is present one will be created.
Heat on Farm (sorcerer) you scorch a circle with a diameter of 10m with a fire hot enough to set ablaze even the toughest of corn. All entities within this circle take 3d10 fire damage.
True Steake (Warlock)- Any familiar that consumes this will ascend by one CR level (¼, ½, ½, 1). The steake may only be created if one has slain the Holy Cow!or if dragon meat of any kind is used as Substitute.
Finger of Enftebtemang (Wizard)- you focus your magic into your finger, and using the ancien strategy of the Enftebtemang, you expel a force dealing (player level x intelligence modifier)d6 damage
Fomend’s Beating Sphere
(druid)- you conjure Formend’s beating sphere for the duration of the battle. It is a will-o’-wisp.Purping Lightsin (wizard)- throws one hell of a party. Multicolor strobe lights and spiked punch appear out of thin air.
Farming (ranger)- makes the ground more fertile, and guarantees a profitable crop yeild.
Wrathful Hound (ranger)- summon 1d4 fern hounds that fight with you for the duration of the battle
Q’s Invisibility (bard)-is invisible until the player ceases to audibly say words beginning with Q (the player may repeat words)
Cow of Auraly (all)- summons the Holy Cow! Needed for “True Steake” is CR 20. Only castable after the player has acquired a decently powered religious artifact and a cow.
Mind Blark (warlock)- target creautes mind is overwhelmed with information (unless it makes a successful wisdom roll vs the caster) and takes only movement actions in random directions for 2d2 turns.
Stone Share (druid) allows for the druid to create stones that pulsate light more frequently as they draw closer together.
Puijune Magic Furs (ranger)- you may imbew furs of your choice with an extraordinary sheen and soft texture
Grove of Plants (druid)- roll a d20 to determine the effects
1-2 nothing happens
3-10 1d10 plants of various sizes (1d8 for determines the height if the plant in meters, roll for each) erupt from the ground, bearing healing fruit that heals 1 point of hp for every meter it is high.
11-20 all enemies within 30 feet of the catser take 1d8 damage should they fail a dc10 strength check.Conjure Velemert (warlock)- Conjure Velemert, voldemorts lesser known and less powerful half cousin twice removed. He is able to cast all spells from the warlock spell list up through level 5. He is present for 1d10 days, and may be re-summoned 2d8 after he departs.
Vicious Markers (warlock)- all writing utensils under this spell are only capable of writing obscenities, however they remain unnoticed by the writer until after they have finished.
End Wall (paladin)- when the paladin is brung to 0 or less hit points, they may conference with their diety, and should they make a DC 5 (+5 for each day gone without pray since the most recent praying) religion check, all damage that would have been dealt that turn is negated, and they are healed 1d4 per every two levels. Available once prr week.
Mous of Farts (bard)- a gag spell. Summons a farting mous (similar to mouse, but can be up to two feet in length).
Cursing (cleric)- a cleric curses their opponent reducing their armor class by 1d4, and dealing 5d4 holy damage.
Gland Growth
