Thanks, pal. Looked up the issue, and the one before it. The one before it he actually has got it, too. Bishop: The Last X-Man (1999) #16

But get this, the issue before THAT is Gambit (1999) #11 where he’s in the hospital dyin’ and Constrictor and Gambit save his life. And he doesn’t have it in any issue before that.

So I’m gonna say if it’s related to anything its related to that.

Might have some thoughts on that later.
