people insisting that they’re entitled to mock and tear down either men as a whole or complete strangers online (especially but not only marginalized men) because they exist in a misogynistic society and therefore Deserve to lash out are using the exact same logic that gamer bros and incels use to justify harassing women

that’s not to say that the situations aren’t different, misogyny is a real form of bigotry while gamerphobia and “won’t fuck you disorder” are not, but harassment* as a form of revenge against another demographic as a whole is damaging whether it stems from real or perceived bigotry. this trend of mocking men’s appearances, acting as if men feel a lesser form of love or that loving men is a burden, minimizing the oppression marginalized men face, etc is not justified or made less damaging by misogyny being a thing. you’re not actually entitled to hurt another human being just because you’ve been hurt

*when I say harassment I mean harassment. that’s the behavior that I’m criticizing, not people criticizing misogyny in men. don’t get it twisted
