I don’t understand why ppl who identify WITH rather than AS want to be called kin, like I’ve been so reluctant to use the term despite how accurate it is bc of all the hate and the trolls and things. it’s like–you admit that you are not this thing; why do you want to be called this thing when it could be harmful 4 ur wellbeing 2 be associated w/ it??? why would u want that needlessly??? i just?? dont understand.
I think the people who push for calling everything kin, even when its not, are the kind of people who want attention and support from an established group, without actually having to belong to that group. It reminds me of the beginning of Fight Club, really.
