My dad used every word of the bible to justify his abuse and I hate him for it. Part of me felt bad for being happy he died but the rest of me was elated he couldn’t hurt anyone else.

Whatever else, I’m glad that you’re free from that now. Its unfortunate how many abusers use the bible as an attempt at justification of their abuse.
