Haha, well, I, and other fictionkin get this question a lot. I don’t mind answering it, especially since it has a slightly different answer when it comes to homestuck-based kin!

First off, the normal answer to this, is that as a fictionkin, I believe in what’s called ‘multiple universe theory’. That means that I believe in the semi-scientific quantum mechanical idea that states that every possibility exists and happens in a universe separate from our own. Take a left instead of a right at the end of the road? Alternate universe. Have peas instead of broccoli with dinner? Alternate universe. Hitler wins WW2? Alternate universe. One atom moves left instead of right directly after the big bang? Alternate universe.

Under multiverse theory, every fictional universe exists. Harry Potter exists. Minions (unfortunately) exists. That fantasy you had where you dated the Green Ranger from power rangers? Exists. Every variation of what could possibly be, exists.

I believe that I lived as Vriska in one of many alternate universes where Vriska really existed and lived as a real person.

The other Vriskas you’ve seen could be completely real too. They’d just have been from a slightly different Alternate Universe than I’m from, where things happened a little, or a lot, differently.

Now the interesting thing here is that even if I didn’t believe in multiverse theory to begin with, I’d still have to believe that the other Vriskas were real anyway.

That’s because in Homestuck time travel results in multiple universes canonical within the series. Even if there was only one ‘Homestuck’ timeline, that still means there are multiple timelines within it. In fact, more than one different Vriska is involved directly in the events of the series. One who died, and one who didn’t.
