So I know I don’t talk a lot about things in the community, but hell. It’s about time I do.
P-Shifting. it’s the kind of thing that gives us all, as otherkin/fictionkin a bad name. It’s the kind of thing the trolls and hecklers from outside see, in the public space of Tumblr, and decide to attribute to everyone in the community.
I…admit, I don’t have as much experience with P-shifters and their behavior as some of my peers. I don’t know firsthand some of the harm people claim they bring to those inexperienced or unknowing. or their techniques. But I do know this. I trust those people who say it’s dangerous, and even besides that, it’s ridiculous.
We can’t shift our bodies physically, not in this universe. For better or for worse, this is the case. And to say otherwise is spreading misinformation, and inviting trolls to target the community.
