So I’ve been turning the whole Silver//Fox murder incident over in my head for like, the last month or so, as you do. With everything in the comics surprising me with how right it feels having this particularly big incident feel wrong was weird. Its not that I’m shy about owning up to gruesome, random murders and terrible atrocities I’ve committed either. I’ve looked at plenty (in fact, most) of the nasty shit Sabre//tooth is supposed to have done and been like, yep. That sounds right. But the Silver//Fox incident just was off, and it was driving me crazy.

Right off the bat when I was coming around to this awakening, I remember thinking that the incident was wrong. When I read Wolver//ine 62-64, I thought I’d finally figured it out. That the whole murder had been an implanted memory. And not even MY implanted memory. So of course it seemed wrong.

But then I kept poking around lore and reading and it kept coming up. Kept being treated as something that happened for real. And even got shifted back in time to the early 1900s. Which just didn’t make any fucking sense at all if she was around in the 1960s-80s.

And frankly, I felt like the idea of her dying in the 80s was off too. I was like, no, wait, doesn’t she come back and do more Hy//dra things later? A check on the wiki says nope. But I could have sworn she was a high ranker for years afterward, turning up like a bad penny.

What’s more, official Mar//vel canon as of 2013 suggests that the Silver//fox who turned up in the 80s was some kind of brainwashed fake. And that doesn’t track for me either. Makes no sense.

Of course, it doesn’t make any fucking sense for her to be around in the early 1900s, and in the 1980s either. Not looking like she looked. And her being around in the 1900s makes sense for me. I just don’t feel like I killed her.

But I finally figured it out. When you you put the pieces together and take a step back, it makes sense.

Bitch had a healing factor. She was one of us.

Because of fucking course.
