Every post saying its a little gross and infantalizing to call Steven Grant ‘pathetic’ or ‘a poor little meow meow’ is absolutely correct.
However, Steven being mentally ill is not what makes it gross and infantalizing.
Its gross and infantalizing when fandom does it to ANY full grown adult man. Which fandom does A LOT. It will always be gross and infantalizing.
But its not a special case. Fandom does that to everybody. It’d actually be weirder if they didn’t do it to Steven.
