Why do all abusive parents do the phone thing with the here’s the phone call the cops if I was so bad like I just noticed that is a Staple of abuse that I’ve seen all over with abusive family members
My parents did this to me too, anon. Whether consciously or unconsciously, its a control game. Its especially good at making children fear the cops as a consequence of bad behavior, instead of thinking of them as a real resource against abuse.
