Derse and Sburb are real from my frame of reference. I will put no disclaimers on my blog. People can chose to believe me or not as they like; and I am not sure how someone would ‘get in trouble’ for[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…

The television in your dream room will work- but not with earth channels. There is, perhaps surprisingly, Dersite television. Three channels, one is primarily news, weather, documentary/reality tv and ‘public access’ type programming where one can pay a fee and[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
The death of a pet could absolutely trigger an awakening. As far as I’ve heard just about any sudden ‘perceptive shift’ can trigger one, including traumatic events.
Assuming by trolls you mean the Alternian race from the comic, then no, I have not seen any. My fellow players and I were all human, and though I have had some internet contact with trolls and other races from[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Yes you can, though it is a lengthy flight from Derse all the way to Prospit. In my medium, which only has six planets, it would take about 20 hours to fly from one to the other, when they’re closest[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
fortressstuck: The deep purple mixes with the darkness as if it were one with the void. Shadows hide the civilians’ dark faces as they silently shoulder through the twisting alleyways. Such mystery. So beautiful. Very noir. Wow.
That depends on a number of factors. Firstly, if your sister will play the game with you. I’d say the likelihood would be high for this. That means she will be in the medium with you. I have never heard[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
My copy of SBURB arrived in the mail on two burned CDs in late November, 1998. It was sent to me by Alex, the Bard of Hope of our then-future session. He had received the original copies to his house[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Unfortunately, you have very few options open to you, as the existence of something like this is difficult to prove before it becomes obvious in your reality. The obvious answer is ‘They will believe you when you show them your[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
As I have said before I am hardly an expert on horrorterrors, however I will endeavor to answer as best I can. I have had no personal contact with the entities, however, in my research I know that they are at[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
This depends on who one is and where one is on Derse. For a SBURB player, Derse is remarkably safe due to agreements between the moons. Only an idiot would dare to attack one of the dreamers- unless special circumstances[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
This is… an odd question, if you will forgive me for saying so. No, reality is not ‘pixelated’ once one enters SBURB- at least if it is, I can not tell. There is no perceptible change in reality between there[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
I am currently on pesterchum as lunarVerbosity if anyone cares to chat.
Players who have multiple dreamselves definitely have a unique set of advantages and difficulties. Obviously its nice to have the ability to be revived twice. I can imagine, however, it is confusing to be bounced from moon to moon. As[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
This is absolutely possible, but of course, as with nearly all mutated sessions, it depends on the shenanigans of the players, generally due to time loops. One querent to this blog apparently had to deal with ‘a pair of 200[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Absolutely not, no more than wearing both rings would double the power of the Black Queen. It is in fact ‘normal’ in a session for one king (the Black King) to hold two scepters at once, when he takes the[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
I realize that sexuality in Carapaces is not a subject I have discussed in depth yet, which strikes me as remiss- or perhaps only somewhat modest- of me. Allow me to address some of it now. As I have discussed[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
There are many ways the Queen could be empowered, from utilizing artifacts of power that may be on the players planets, to unfortunate accidents involving first guardians. Wearing both rings at once would not confer any additional *magical* power on[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
The King’s power is absolutely transferable through possession of his scepter. Any carapace holding it would be able to wield it, and yes that does include the Black Queen. Obviously, prototypings would not double, but the Queen would receive the[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Ask-Derse Guide to Dreamself Awakening:Using Astral Projection and Lucid Dreaming Methods The number one question I receive on this blog is ‘how do I wake my dreamself up?’. Historically, I have had no answer for this, as my own dreamself[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
It is possible that the program is a fake, yes, but it is also possible it is not. If you are trying to load the client with no server program to link up to, it is likely that the system[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
The game was called ‘sburb’. I have heard this is generally what the game is called when played by humans. As for media, the game was played on CD. In my universe it was the late 1990s when we played.
This is an interesting question. I hadn’t read Homestuck until I had been in the medium for some time, due to the strange way that our computers interact with the internet here. In the main, Homestuck has not presented much[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
I am afraid this is a very, very broad question. I cannot answer it unless I know what your situation is. Please, feel free to ask me a follow up with more details. As for ‘how this works’ I suppose[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
You are absolutely forgiven, querent, as I am happy always to give advice. I am sorry that it took so long to give you an answer- things have been busy on Derse today. Here are my answer for you First:[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Obviously there is an economy on Derse, as goods and services are exchanged. Such exchanges are made in money (Boondollars, as with the rest of the medium). Dersites are paid by their employers for their labor, their wages are taxed[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
I have only ever briefly seen the Black Queen directly in combat, however that glimpse was certainly enough to make an impression. With the ring, the Queen’s power is terrifying. At base, she has access to powers of flight, inhuman[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Please don’t wory about stealing my time. If I have better things to do, I simply don’t answer questions until those things are done with. Yours is a noble goal, and I certainly hope that you can come up with[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
Hello again, Witch. I’m happy that some of my advice has been useful to you. It can be difficult to remember that ‘space’ in the medium isn’t like the starry night sky on Earth. I do admit I miss stars[…]↓ Read the rest of this entry…
